Kirstie Alley Slams Abercrombie & Fitch CEO for Comments About "Cool Kids"

Kirstie Alley is no stranger to body image issues — and now she's speaking out against Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries about his feelings on weight.

The backlash has been piling on against Jeffries this week, after an interview he gave to Salon in 2006 resurfaced. In it, Jeffries says: "We go after the cool kids. We go after the attractive all-American kid with a great attitude and a lot of friends. A lot of people don't belong [in our clothes], and they can't belong. Are we exclusionary? Absolutely."

Alley and others are less than impressed with his marketing strategy. "He says, 'Abercrombie clothes are for people that are cool and who look a certain way and are beautiful and who are thin and blah, blah, blah,'" the former Dancing with the Starscontestant told Entertainment Tonight. "He goes on and on and on. That would make me never buy anything from Abercrombie even if I was cool and thin."

Alley added that she also won't let her kids shop at the store. "I got two kids in that [age] bracket that will never walk in those doors because of his view of people," she said.

And she's not the only one launching a boycott against the brand. Earlier this week, Los Angeles resident Greg Karber launched an online campaign to redistribute A&F clothing to homeless people. Watch his video below:
