Gossip Girl's Kelly Rutherford Granted Restraining Order Against Husband

Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford has obtained a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband, Daniel Giersch, People reports.
Rutherford claimed in documents filed at Los Angeles Superior Court that Giersch has repeatedly harassed her and her family, stating that he "has begun to follow me, my mother and my nanny and he shows up unexpectedly to threaten and scare us."

Giersch's attorney, Fahi Takesh Hallin, says Rutherford's claims are "fabricated accusations" against his client. "Daniel will remain focused on co-parenting both of their children and not make any personal comments in order to continue to protect the children's need for privacy and well being," Hallin said.

The order, which is in effect for 21 days, stipulates that Giersch maintain at least a 100-yard distance from Rutherford and their two children, Hermes, 2, and Helena, 3 months. A court hearing to review evidence is set for Oct. 15. Rutherford and Giersch, an entrepreneur, have been involved in a bitter custody dispute since their 2008 split.
