Don't expect to find Julie Chen gabbing about her husband's CBS ousting onThe Talkthis week.

In light of Les Moonves departing CBS as chairman and CEO after a wave of allegations of sexual assault and harassment, his wife Julie Chen has decided to take a few days off from anchoring The Talk. Chen released a statement to Deadline this morning saying, "I am taking a few days off from The Talk to be with my family. I will be back soon and will see you Thursday night on Big Brother."

This announcement comes on premiere day for The Talk Season 9, which casts a bit of a cloud over the launch of a new season.

When Moonves was originally accused of sexual misconduct in an expose article in The New Yorker, he immediately denied the allegations, and Chen subsequently made a statement in support of her husband. "I have known my husband, Leslie Moonves, since the late '90s, and I have been married to him for almost 14 years," Chen tweeted. "Leslie is a good man and a loving father, devoted husband and inspiring corporate leader. He has always been a kind, decent and moral human being. I fully support my husband and stand behind him and his statement."

It's unclear when Chen will return to The Talk, but it sounds like she has no plans to abandon her hosting duties on her other CBS series, Big Brother.

The Talk airs weekdays at 2/1c on CBS.
