CBS Is Developing an Autobiographical Drama About Judge Judy

Get details on Her Honor

CBS and Judith Sheindlin (a.k.a. Judge Judy) are teaming up for a semi-autobiographical drama called Her Honor, Varietyreports.

The show will follow the youngest judge in New York who is proficient at handling Family Court cases, though her personal life could use some work.

Sheindlin, who is currently the most profitable star on television, reportedly earning more than $47 million a year, will co-author the pilot along with Chicago Justiceshowrunner Michael Chernuchin.

The pitch sounds similar to CBS' upcoming drama Bull, which is inspired by the early career of Dr. Phil McGraw and is scheduled to premiere this fall. Maybe a crossover between the two could work?

Judge Judy premiered in 1996 and has been renewed through 2020. Her latest contract renewal included a first-look production deal for her company Queen Bee Productions.
