Jennifer Lawrence won't be singing Christmas carols in public this holiday season.

During an appearance on The Late Show Wednesday, the Hunger Games star toldDavid Letterman she's "scarred for life" after a school performance when she was 8. Her rendition of "Holly Jolly Christmas" apparently kept her dad laughing for days afterwards.

Lawrence was her usual affable self for the remainder of the interview, and gave no indication that the recent nude photo scandal she was involved in has made her more shy in talking to the media. At one point, after a technical malfunction, she even took over hosting duties after she and Letterman walked off the stage together.
