Isn't it a sad when Susan's way-prolonged spleen crisis trumps Tony Soprano's return? In a closely-watched contest, Sunday's Desperate Housewives, with 22.15 million viewers, delivered a hit to The Sopranos, which was watched by an audience of 9.46 million. The HBO crime drama's Season 6 debut was its lowest-rated premiere since Season 2, a 2.7 million viewer drop from the previous season's start and off a full 4 million from the series' best-ever premiere, for Season 4. ABC's Grey's Anatomy, meanwhile, continued to build on its Housewives lead-in, drawing 22.5 million total viewers.
