Marty Kaan's (Don Cheadle) fast-paced race to the top of the food chain ends this Sunday, with the associates of House of Lies' Pod joining him for one final journey: this time to Cuba.

It's a historic episode since House of Lies is the first American scripted show to film in Cuba since the recent restoration of diplomatic relations. In the clip above, you'll see how the cast and crew were delighted and energized by the opportunity to shoot there -- unthinkable even in 2012 when HoL debuted.

Three things we're feeling about House of Lies Season 5

"Creating and running House of Lies has been a true dream gig, a creative apotheosis," creator and executive producer Matthew Carnahan said in a statement. "Getting to work with heroes like Don Cheadle, Kristen Bell and Glynn Turman, breaking out amazing performers like Dawn Olivieri and the shockingly funny Josh Lawson...and then going out on the high note that is shooting in Cuba -- these are all the kinds of reasons I got into this business in the first place."

Although the series finale episode finds Marty, in his trademark style, already thinking about putting a "5-star resort on every beach and a Starbucks on every corner" the Pod ends up pondering existential questions like, "How much is enough?" and "How much money buys happiness, and at what cost?"

That's right: as they take their final dive, these sharks may be learning to put their hearts and souls on equal footing with their bank statements.

House of Lies' series finale airs Sunday, June 12 at 9/8c on Showtime.
