Hills Keeps Rolling Along with Bonus Fakery

Lauren "LC" Conrad's somewhat-anticipated big announcement during the live finale of MTV's The Hills was not A) that she was quitting the series, nor B) that her feud with Heidi is all a big lie, nor C) that she is the long-lost kid sister of Christine "Marcia Brady" Taylor, but rather D) that this third season is being extended by eight "bonus" episodes, to begin unspooling early next year and chronicling "Lauren and Whitney's adventures in Paris, where they travel to work for Teen Vogue at the Crillon Ball," and "the latest stories affecting the cast including Heidi and Spencer's tumultuous relationship.
