HELP IS ON THE WAY... SLOWLY

The Hurricane Katrina relief telethon that the six broadcast networks were hoping to air on Tuesday has been postponed so that organizers can secure enough phone lines to handle the anticipated volume of calls. (Um, couldn't they have worked over Labor Day to make it happen? I mean, really.) The show — which isn't to be confused with A Concert for Hurricane Relief, the NBC special airing tonight — is expected to go on next Friday.
