Once again, we're not allowed to have nice things on Grey's Anatomy. You may remember that Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) made the fantastic, thought-out decision to commit insurance fraud to save a little girl who didn't have health insurance. That decision came back to bite her when the hospital's insurance overlords showed up to investigate — and DeLuca (Giacomo Giannotti) took the fall for her.
What's funny is that Meredith started the episode doubting that DeLuca meant his "I love you confession," and now he's facing real jail time so that she can remain with her kids and continue her award-winning medical career. Unfortunately, Meredith found out that DeLuca was very serious about how he feels about her while she was locked inside of a hyperbaric chamber and couldn't leave to stop him from turning himself in for her. It's a gigantic mess, hearts are broken, and this couldn't get any worse.
JUST KIDDING. This is Grey's Anatomy and the Season 15 finale is next week. If you'll remember, this is an odd numbered season, so people have to die in the next episode. The giant disaster set for this finale is fog and several of our favorite characters are stuck in Seattle in various levels of danger — including Owen (Kevin McKidd), who is separated from Teddy (Kim Raver) after she realized she's in love with him and just went into labor with their child. Jackson (Jesse Williams) and Maggie (Kelly McCreary) can't even help stabilize things because they are stuck in the Seattle wilderness after a camping trip gone very wrong. Honestly, who camps?
Basically, start working on your breathing techniques and get the tissues ready because it's going to be a heartbreaker.
Grey's Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8/7 on ABC.
