When Teddy (Kim Raver) dropped the news that she's pregnant with Owen's (Kevin McKidd) child on Grey's Anatomy, both doctors were elbows deep in surgery which left Owen no time to react. But now that he's had some time to gather his thoughts, especially since Teddy is officially staying at Grey Sloan, Owen is finally letting Teddy know exactly how he feels about the surprising news. Spoiler alert: he's not a happy camper.
In an exclusive sneak peek at Thursday's episode, Owen, who's still coming to terms with the surprising news, confronts Teddy over her baby bombshell. However, it looks like he's more concerned with the fact that she waited a whole five months to tell him, rather than the actual pregnancy itself.
After all, Teddy had the chance to tell him earlier but chickened out when she saw Betty (Peyton Kennedy), the teen mom Owen and Amelia have been housing while they raise her infant son. That hesitation left Owen open to giving his relationship with Amelia a second try and thus, a messy situation became even more complicated.
"Are you saying that somehow it's my fault that you and Amelia are back together?" Teddy asks Owen in the video.
Obviously still harboring some feelings for Teddy, he doesn't exactly answer her question. "I'm just saying it's a crap situation which is worse than it would have been had you been a little more upfront," he says.
But leave it to Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) to take this all in stride. Walking in on their argument, she ends it with a sarcastic and heartbreaking quip. "I've had some excellent nicknames but 'crap situation' might be my new favorite," she says.
The episode, titled "Help I'm Alive," will see Owen continue to deal with his baby mama drama. However, a setback will force Deluca (Giacomo Gianniotti) to step in for him in the O.R. Meanwhile, will Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) take issue with Link's (Chris Carmack) laid-back approach to a patient's treatment. Plus, Maggie (Kelly McCreary) will worry about how Richard (James Pickens Jr.), Jackson (Jesse Williams) and Catherine (Debbie Allen) are handling Catherine's diagnosis.
Watch the drama unfold when Grey's Anatomy airs Thursday at 8/7c on ABC.
