Grey's Anatomy: Sara Ramirez Refutes Claim CBS Prevented Callie's Return

Ooohhhh, the drama isn't just fictional when it comes to Grey's Anatomy, it's now jumping off the screen into the real world.

Remember that cute little Callie (Sara Ramirez) cameo that never got to happen last season? And how it was all big, bad CBS' fault for not letting her visit? Yeah, apparently there's another side to that story.

During an Instagram Q&A in August, Grey's boss Shonda Rhimes revealed she tried to bring back Ramirez in for an episode in Season 14, but unfortunately her role on CBS' Madam Secretary, prevented her return. "Let me tell you something: we tried," Rhimes said in an Instagram video. "CBS has a hold of her because she's on another show, and we can't get her. But we love her. Always. This is her home. Come home, Callie."

That all seemed like a sweet way to say shucks, but now Sara Ramirez is clapping back about that little anecdote. Ramirez tweeted, "For the record @CBS has been nothing but gracious and generous to me. They are open to Callie coming back! The ball is in @ABCNetwork 's court."

She may have added a peace sign and a purple heart to soften the blow, but the meaning is clear: Don't blame CBS, this was all ABC. If, however, this tweet is received by ABC is good faith, it might mean that Grey Sloan Memorial will get a visit from Dr. Torres in Season 15!
