America has forgiven Adam Sandler for Little Nicky. The funny guy's new film, Mr. Deeds, debuted in first place at the box office over the weekend, grossing $37.6 million. The opening was on par with his two biggest hits: Big Daddy ($41.5 million) and The Waterboy ($39.4 million). Lilo & Stitch (No. 2 with $22.2 million) and Minority Report (No. 3 with $21.6 million) which once again found themselves in a dead heat showed impressive staying power in their second weekend of release. Rounding out the top five were Scooby-Doo (No. 4 with $12.2 million) and The Bourne Identity (No. 5 with $10.8 million). Hey Arnold! The Movie opened in sixth place with $6 million.
