Jane the Virgin's Gina Rodriguez Gives Her Golden Globes Dress to a Fan For Prom

Gina Rodriguez is having a really good start to 2016 - killing it on the red carpet at the Golden Globes, going public with her boo and actually doing something about the diversity issue in Hollywood many are just content to talk and tweet about.

Evidently a believer in spreading the good fortune around, E!reports that the Jane the Virginstar has offered to give one of her red carpet frocks to a teenager via Twitter so the girl could wear Gina's dress at the prom. How cool is that?

It all started when a fan wrote that she'd love to wear her dress to prom.

Rodriguez tweeted back that she only owned a dress from a previous year, and attempted to make sure there was no confusion about which one the lucky fan might get.

The dress in question was a black Badgley Mischka, which she wore when she won the Glove in 2015; the actress then apparently took the conversation offline to make sure her fan got the hook up.
