Despite a lackluster performance from the first part of its heavily hyped Elvis miniseries, CBS dominated the first full week of May sweeps among total viewers, while American Idol-fueled Fox once again reigned in the 18-to-49 demo. CSI ranked as the week's top show, with 26.7 million viewers, just barely edging out ABC's Desperate Housewives, which logged 26.1 million viewers — its second most-watched episode to date.
