Things are about to get a little bit spooky and a whole lot sinister for Mike Colter. CBS has released the first teaser trailer for Evil, a brand new psychological thriller from The Good Wife/Good Fight team Robert and Michelle King. It looks like the former Marvel superhero is going to come face to face with things, and people, that go bump in the night.

According to the show's description, Evil "is a psychological mystery that examines the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion. The series focuses on a skeptical female psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a carpenter as they investigate the Church's backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions and hauntings. Their job is to assess if there's a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work."

CBS's 2019-2020 Fall TV Lineup: What You Need to Know

In short, it sounds like your typical procedural drama, but one with a heavily demonic twist that's about to blur the lines of religion and reality.

Along with Colter, the series stars Katja Herbers, Aasif Mandvi, and Michael Emerson. Michelle King, Robert King, and Liz Glotzer will serve as executive producers, and Robert directed the pilot.

Evil premieres this fall on CBS.
