Time to start brushing up on your magic spells, because Disney Channel has just announced that Descendants 3 will launch on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW on Friday, August 2.

The third movie in the series, which follows the children of some of the best known Disney villains, has the VK's, aka the Villain Kids, returning to their home, the Isle of the Lost. Having proven themselves worthy of the much nicer and happier Auradon, Mal (Dove Cameron), Evie (Sofia Carson), Carlos (Cameron Boyce), and Jay (Booboo Stewart) are now back to recruit more to hopefully attend Auradon Prep.

However, Mal "knows she must resolve to permanently close the barrier to the Isle of the Lost, fearing that nemeses Uma (China Anne McClain) and Hades (Cheyenne Jackson) will wreak vengeance on her new home, the idyllic kingdom now ruled by her beloved King Ben (Mitchell Hope). Despite her decision, an unfathomable dark force still threatens the people of Auradon, and Mal and her friends face their biggest challenge yet."

If you can't wait that long to watch it, Disney Channel has released the opening number of the movie, "Good to be Bad," which features the VK's celebrating "VK Day" as children on the Isle of the Lost frantically fill out applications to attend Auradon Prep. New faces (and villains) for Descendants 3 include Jadah Marie as Dr. Facilier's daughter Celia, Jamal Sims as Dr. Facilier, and Christian Convery and Luke Roessler as Smee's sons Squeaky and Squirmy, along with Jackson playing the blue-haired baddie.

Descendants 3 airs Friday, August 2 at 8/7c on Disney Channel.
