David Beckham is coming to a stage near you - sort of. British playwright Mark Archer is in talks with West End producers to bring the soccer god's life story to the London stage,

The Daily Telegraph reports.

David Beckham - The Theatre of Dreams will focus on the 33-year-old's "rise from obscurity to international stardom, his universally acknowledged gifts as a supreme sportsman, and his Hollywood lifestyle all have the elements of an aspirational fable," Archer told the paper. The show will be a musical, and Archer has already penned several songs chronicling major moments in Beckham's life, including meeting wife Victoria "Posh" Beckham. Sample lyric: A change has come around,
As I worship this ground,
With you in my life,
We're turning the world upside down.
Other numbers include the opener "The Promised Land," "Villain of the Peace," about his early hard times, and "Which Dream," which centers on Beckham's decision between joining United or Real Madrid. The L.A. Galaxy star has yet to approve of the musical. - Joyce Eng
