CRÜE CUT FROM NBC
Mötley Crüe has sued NBC for banning the group from its airwaves after frontman Vince Neil dropped the F-bomb during the 2004 live New Year's Eve broadcast of The Tonight Show. The suit accuses the Peacock of violating the band's free-speech rights in an attempt to score points with the FCC. NBC issued a statement saying it "has the right to decide not to invite back guests who violate those standards and use an expletive during a live entertainment program." Washed-up acts are said to be especially vulnerable to this policy.
