I finally figured out what's wrong with the Emmy voting process: They've been sending grown-ups to do a teenager's job. To wit: At the 2005 Teen Choice Awards this weekend, Gilmore Girls was named best TV comedy and stars Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham won best actress and best parental unit respectively. On the drama side, The O.C. walked off with three trophies, including best drama, best actor for Adam Brody and best actress for Rachel Bilson. On the movie side, The Notebook scored a leading eight awards while Napoleon Dynamite nabbed four. And proving that no one not even teenagers is perfect, The House of Wax won three awards, including two for stars Chad Michael Murray and Paris Hilton. The show airs Tuesday at 8 pm/ET on Fox.
