Bourne Identity helmer Doug Liman is developing a CHiPs update for NBC, Variety reports. Unlike the original series, which starred Larry Wilcox and Erik Estrada as two motorcycle cops tooling around Los Angeles, the new version will be set in San Francisco and feature a pair of ambiguously gay patrolmen. Everything about this story is true except for that last part. That was just me being silly.
