The stars of Chicago Med unanimously agree: If one of them was going to be a doctor in real life, it would be Nick Gehlfuss.

Gehlfuss, who plays Dr. Will Halstead, told TVGuide.com during a recent set visit that he even debated going to medical school earlier in life. "I actually thought about it while I was training," Gehlfuss says. "I'm like, 'Why am I not a doctor?'"

Of course, it's not scientific knowledge alone that makes a good doctor. Check out the video above to see Gehlfuss demonstrate the surgical mask-removal technique he's perfected during his time on the show. Plus: Which of his fellow cast members is the most likely to sleep through an earthquake (or anywhere on the set, for that matter)?

Chicago Med airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on NBC.
