CBS has announced four new dramas and two comedies for this fall's lineup.
The dramas include a Criminal Minds spin-off, Rush Hour, Limitless and medical drama Code Black. For comedies, it's Jane Lynch's Angel From Hell and Josh Brolin and Colin Hanks' Life in Pieces.
Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders: A new team of expert criminologists is getting out of Quantico and helping Americans who find themselves in trouble abroad. The April 8 episode of Criminal Minds introduced the actors and the concept. Gary Sinise, Daniel Henney, and Tyler James Williams are set to star.
Rush Hour: Buddy cop alert! Like the original movie, the show will feature an Asian police officer and a black detective trying to solve a crime. Jon Foo will play the Hong Kong police officer who comes to Los Angeles to work on the case; he'll be paired with a cocky LAPD officer played by Justin Hires. Brett Ratner (who directed the original Rush Hour) and Jon Turteltaub will executive-produce.
Code Black: Marcia Gay Harden heads up the ensemble cast of this medical drama, based on a 2014 documentary by the same name. A medical team works in the busiest and most notorious emergency room in the country -- the one in the Los Angeles County Hospital.
Limitless: The onslaught of superhero shows continues! In this one, a man named Brian Finch (played by Jake McDorman) takes a drug called MZT, which gives him superpowers. An FBI unit (headed up by Jennifer Carpenter) forces him to use his new powers to help them solve crimes. Bradley Cooper, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman will executive-produce. The show is based on a book called The Dark Fields and a movie called Limitless, which starred Bradley Cooper.
Angel From Hell: Now that Glee is over, Jane Lynch is free to star in this new project. She plays Amy, who meets a woman named Allison (played by Maggie Lawson) and claims to be her guardian angel. Allison has to figure out whether Amy is really her guardian angel or just some crazy person.
