The band Slipknot is threatening Burger King with legal action, claiming that the chain's new TV ad campaign for chicken fries features a fictional costumed heavy metal group dubbed Coq Roq that looks and sounds like their own. In court papers acquired by TheSmokingGun.com, Slipknot says that not long after they rebuffed an invite to star in Burger King's campaign, Coq Roq debuted. Burger King argues that Coq Roq does not infringe on Slipknot's trademark. Me, I'm suddenly in the mood for chicken fries whatever they are.
