Stage vet Patti Lupone, a Tony winner for her 1979 run in Evita, is returning to the Great White Way in a revival of Sweeney Todd, opening Nov. 3 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. LuPone will star as meat-pie maker Mrs. Lovett, the role Angela Lansbury originated on Broadway in 1979.
