The Band Perry The Band Perry

At last year's CMA Awards, the Band Perry were so fresh on the scene that they weren't even allotted a full-song performance slot. Oh, what a difference a year makes. By the time last night's glitzy blowout concluded in Nashville, the sibling vocal trio — Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry — walked away winners in three categories: New Artist of the Year, and Single of the Year and Song of the Year for their crossover hit "If I Die Young." "We're so excited for 'If I Die Young,' both for what it's done for us and our music career," says Kimberly of her elegiac composition. "But also because it's been such a personal song for so many other people."

With CMA season over, the Band Perry is now focusing on the holiday season. They've been tapped to write and record the theme for ABC Family's "25 Days of Christmas" programming event in December. "It's the very first Christmas song we've ever written," Kimberly says, adding that she and her brothers recently filmed a video for the tune. "They made it snow in L.A. at 2 o'clock in the morning," she laughs. "It was amazing."

But not as amazing as being crowned country's newest stars, a reputation they'll further when they head out on the road with CMA co-host Brad Paisley next year. And what will the siblings watch while on tour? "Criminal Minds and The Office," says Reid. "You watch Criminal Minds first [to be scared] and then you watch The Office [to laugh]. It's a rush!"
