While most shows are getting ready to wind down for the season, PBS' Arthur has just started its 22nd season (pause to let it sink in that Arthur has been running for 22 years). To really jump-start the new season, the series launched the first episode with Mr. Ratburn's wedding, revealing in the process that Mr. Ratburn is actually gay!

Yes, Arthur's long-time teacher is in a committed relationship with an aardvark named Patrick, who works as a chocolatier. Honestly? #Goals.

The episode, titled "Mr. Ratburn & The Special Someone," revolves around Arthur and his friends trying to figure out WHO Mr. Ratburn is marrying, and believe it to be another rat, voiced by guest voice Jane Lynch. Instead, the other rat just turns out to be Mr. Ratburn's sister, and Mr. Ratburn gets to walk down the aisle with Patrick as his students look on. The episode ends with little fanfare from the kids as Mr. Ratburn's gay wedding barely phases them, as they're more excited about the cake they get to eat.

Meanwhile, Twitter decided to celebrate as a beloved character from childhood has now come out, and millennial Arthur viewers have feels.
