Apprentice Loser Still Talking

Say what you want about Donald Trump, but the dude can spot a weak link when he sees it. Case in point: On last Thursday's The Apprentice, the perpetual pink-slipper muzzled 26-year-old talkaholic Stacy Rotner after she proved herself doggone useless on the pet task. But as TV Guide Online's Michael Ausiello found out late Friday afternoon, it's going to take a lot more than a demoralizing defeat in the boardroom to silence this little havoc-wreaker.

TV Guide Online: Your suitcase was humongous. Were you hiding a body in there?
Stacy Rotner: (Laughs) I come prepared; I brought a lot of clothes and shoes. I'm a big shoe person.

TVGO: Why do you think you elicit such a negative reaction from people?
Stacy: I think people aren't used to someone who so steadily and readily voices their opinion. And coming from a woman, it's probably more shocking. And coming from someone who's little is probably even more shocking. People are a little taken aback when they get me full-force.

TVGO: But be honest: When you were watching yourself on the show, did you ever stop and think, "Hey, I really am annoying." I mean, you talk a lot.
Stacy: Of course I talk a lot — that's what makes me me and that's what makes me an excellent lawyer. I'm able to get my point across through the use of the English language. Annoying? What is annoying? I think everyone on the show has the ability to be defined as annoying. And you know what? Living with 18 people is kind of annoying at times.

TVGO: On the Today show Friday you told Katie Couric that you've been flooded with offers — including for your own talk show. You don't seriously think you're going to get your own talk show out of this, do you?
Stacy: I'm not really sure. Everything is in the very early stages. I'm interested in exploring the various opportunities that have arisen from this.

TVGO: Don't you think you're setting yourself up for disappointment, though? I mean, Omarosa said she was gonna get her own talk show, too.
Stacy: I'm a pretty positive person. I have a great life, I have fantastic friends and family. If this was all over tomorrow, I can walk away and feel really good about my life.

TVGO: You have a pretty slick website.
Stacy: Thanks.

TVGO: In the Public Speaking section you list "Dating Lessons Learned from The Apprentice" as one of the topics you can be hired to talk about. Um, huh?
Stacy: I think there are a variety of lessons to take away — both in the business and personal worlds — from this show. But you're going to have to hire me to speak for your company to hear more. (Laughs)

TVGO: How much do you charge?
Stacy: I'm not going to answer that.

TVGO: What if I wanted to hire you?
Stacy: We'll have to talk on paper.

TVGO: Something else that caught my eye on StacyRotner.com was that under Motivational Speeches you list "Learning how to ask for (and get!) what you want" and "Don't take no for an answer" as other topics you are available to speak about. Didn't Carolyn rip you apart for your inability to do either of those things?
Stacy: I got what I wanted: I got to be on the show. And you know what? Ultimately, the decisions [made during the dog task] were up to Wes.

TVGO: Have you taken any delight in all of the trouble Jen C. has gotten herself into over the "fat Jewish ladies" comment?
Stacy: I would never take pleasure in anyone's suffering or hardship. It's really unfortunate. I think she really regrets what she said. Everyone makes mistakes.

TVGO: Have you spoken to her since the you-know-what hit the fan?
Stacy: No.

TVGO: Why do you think Jen C. took so much heat for what she said but not Chris, who pretty much suggested that the only way to get a good review out of the gay guys at his restaurant was by giving them a [expletive].
Stacy: That's a good question. Had I heard him say that, I would have said something, to be quite honest. Because I'm a New Yorker and I'm sensitive to diversity. Had Jen said that about any other race, religion, sexual orientation and I was standing there, I would have said something. I guess the men on his team didn't take offense to that comment.

TVGO: Did you take offense to Jen calling you a "Little Munchkin?"
Stacy: (Laughs) I just don't think it's appropriate to go around speaking to people that way in a business setting.

TVGO: But were you offended?
Stacy: I have really tough skin. I just thought it was inappropriate.

TVGO: In the boardroom the night Stacie J. got fired, you described her 8 Ball flip-out as "one of the scariest moments of my life." And you call yourself a tough New Yorker?
Stacy: That's another good question and I'm glad that you asked me that. No one really saw the full scenario. Every single woman in there said that it was scary. Stacie is a really great girl and she has a lot of great characteristics, but it happened to be a really frightening moment. I would never lie on national TV.

TVGO: So you're backing up your claim that it was "one of the scariest moments of my life"?
Stacy: I'm backing up that it was a really scary moment.
