Lizzo wasn't the only singer to pay homage to Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit this week. In a remarkable performance on Tuesday's episode of America's Got Talent, the Detroit Youth Choir flipped the script on the reality competition with a lively rendition of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis's monster hit "Can't Hold Us" that felt reminiscent of the Whoopi Goldberg classic.

The group, which is comprised of talented kids from Detroit's inner city, incorporated rapping and dancing into their jaw-dropping routine and those surprising elements earned them a standing ovation from the entire judges' panel. "Let me thank you because what we all just witnessed here tonight was nothing short of absolute brilliance," said Gabrielle Union.

An equally impressed Simon Cowell told the group, "If you keep doing this, where every performance is the last thing you'd expect a choir to do, you could win this."

But no one was more moved by their inspirational performance than host Terry Crews, who interrupted the judges' group vote to deliver an important message. "I'm so sorry to interrupt you, Howie [Mandel], but I have to tell you, every young man and woman on this stage represents me and where I came from," Crews said on the brink of tears. "I remember sitting at my window in Flint, Michigan dreaming and wanting to make it and wanting to be here. And they're here, and they did so well that I have to do this."

Crews then power walked over to the judges' table to impart one final thought to the group's leader, Mr. White, before hitting the Golden Buzzer that sent them straight through to the live shows in the next round. "Let me tell you something, Mr. White. All it takes is one person to believe in a young man or woman for them to reach their dreams and you are that man, sir."
