AMC Renews The Pitch, Announces Taxidermy and Venice Beach Reality Shows

AMC has renewed The Pitch and given the green light to two unscripted shows: Untitled Taxidermy Series and Venice Beach Freakshow, it announced on Thursday.

"Season one of The Pitch captured the intensity of the advertising world and provided the ultimate, behind-the-scenes look at the compelling and dramatic pitch process," AMC executive Joel Stillerman said. "We are so pleased to work again with Studio Lambert on the show's return."

Untitled Taxidermy Series is a hosted competition show featuring different contestants each week who create an ultimate piece of artwork showcasing the craft of taxidermy. It will follow the creative process as well as the drama of the competition. 

Venice Beach Freakshow follows former music producer Todd Ray, his wife Danielle and their two kids, Asia and Phoenix, as they own and operate the world famous Venice Beach Freakshow, a museum that exhibits strange creatures, living oddities and human attractions.

Both will have eight half-hour episodes and are slated to premiere in early 2013.
