Isn't it romantic? It sure is when Alyssa Milano takes on this twisty love story based on the James Patterson novel of the same name. Set in a snowy New York City at Christmastime, Sunday at Tiffany's centers on Milano's Jane, a tough businesswoman who is busy preparing for her perfect wedding to a perfect guy (Ivan Sergei) until she bumps into — here's the twist — her imaginary best friend from childhood (Eric Winter). "I love that finding him softens her up and brings out this side that she's not necessarily comfortable with," says Milano.
While the 37-year-old actress fancies herself more of an idealist than her character, she can totally relate to the whole concept of soul mates, having married hers — Hollywood agent David Bugliari — in 2009. And it's also the subject of an independent rom-com she produced and starred in called My Girlfriend's Boyfriend, which was released December 1 through Warner Bros. Digital.
Getting to live out these fairy-tale fantasies on the small screen, we're curious: What does it take to melt Milano's heart in real life? "For me, there's not a more romantic feeling of appreciation than when you get flowers for no reason at all...just because." Lucky for her, she gushes, "My husband is really good at that kind of stuff."
