This film has pretensions of being a thrilling crime drama, but it is almost completely unwatchable because of ridiculous conception, trite screenplay, lifeless acting, and poor technical work. Lamla and Gertzen are a pair of construction workers who have been fired after completing work

on a new building (the State of Illinois Building in Chicago). Seeking revenge, they hide in the building and begin committing acts of thievery and violence against the inhabitants. The plot unfolds ludicrously, forcing situations just to make the movie last longer. All in all, it's hard to watch

this movie with a straight face, though it's supposed to be taken seriously. Even the score by the usually reliable Tangerine Dream manages to be irritating. (In German; English subtitles.)
