Haines, a youthful, exuberant, hyperactive public relations man for a Hollywood movie studio, attempts to show his affection for his sweetheart, Allen, by turning her into a star. So busy is he in this quest that he neglects to demonstrate his feelings in more meaningful ways. The

neglected lady turns to Miljan for comfort and finally succeeds in evoking enough jealousy in Haines to get him back together with her. A number of capable character actors round out the comedy in this inside-the-industry picture, most notably Cawthorn as an irascible, Yiddish-accented studio

magnate. The film is basically a vehicle to showcase the talents of the Wampas Baby Stars of 1934, the first year in which all 12 of the starlets annually selected as "stars of the future" by the Western Association of Motion Picture Advertisers were brought together in a feature film. Executives

at low-budget Mascot took advantage of the considerable promotional efforts of the trade association, which first brought to public notice such stars-to-be as Janet Gaynor, Clara Bow, and Joan Crawford.
