Moore (in her first big role) plays a long-suffering lass who endures virtually every possible tragedy in this melange of themes. Widowed by the death of Edwards, Moore then loses her fatherless baby to her aunt, Reese-Burns, whom Moore accidentally kills. Convicted of murder, Moore is

imprisoned, but is pardoned through the intervention of likable lawyer Forbes. Trying to find her missing tyke, Moore gets involved with a swindling private detective. Trapped in a speakeasy nightclub, Moore is jailed following a police raid. Meanwhile, her missing infant--finally located--is

abducted by criminals. There's a courtroom scene in which Moore is exonerated through the offices of the friendly Forbes. Too much too soon characterizes this chock-full screenplay by Edwards, who plays the husband who dies, like the picture, in the first reel.
