With a title and a leading-role name strongly redolent of the popular (and many-times-filmed) Jack London novel The Sea Wolf, this low-budget thriller mixes genres in an abortive attempt to please every taste. Bosworth is the diamond-dotty captain of a salvage ship who hopes to recover a

hoard of jewels from an ocean liner sunk in tropical waters. Carmen is a child of wealth, the only human survivor of the wreck, stranded on an island with a shipload of wild animals which had been bound for a zoo. She staves off an attack by a stuffed leopard and observes some stock jungle shots

of cute monkeys until, finally, she is rescued by the treasure seekers. A mutinous crew headed by villain Richmond compounds the plot, but second officer Thane manages to straighten things out. Initially repulsed by Carmen's riches, Thane ultimately succumbs to her charms. Badly directed and

edited, and ludicrously acted.
