Housewife Day receives a visit from her ex-lover, cad Tone, who gets a barbecue skewer in his chest for his presumptuousness. Dragging the "corpse" into her laundry room, Day spends the remainder of the preposterous picture looking alternately terrified and distraught as her nasty

brother-in-law Clark (who had been rejected in his own amorous advances prior to her marriage to his brother, Bennett) discloses her affair to her husband and to Tone's wife, Moorehead. Overwhelmed by her violation of two out of ten biblical commandments, Day confesses her "murder" of Tone and

attempts to commit suicide. Rushed to a nearby hospital, Day discovers that the tenacious Tone has clung to life and been brought to the same hospital after wandering, wounded, out onto the street. Day is reconciled with the magnanimous Bennett, who then reads the riot act to his rotten brother,

Clark. Fine actors can't save this poorly paced, humorless picture. This is top-billed Tone's briefest featured appearance, as he is consigned to the laundry room a few minutes into the film.
