Employing near-nudity and audience-involvement techniques, the Living Theater enjoyed a brief period of popularity during the 1960s. Associates of the group created this Parisian travelog centering on the karma-seeking quest of the introspective Clementi, who explores his inner self

through contacts with the landmarks of Paris and through various sexual adventures. When he gets Danish expatriate Bo pregnant, Clementi deserts her, retreating to his room for a long session of fantasy-filled contemplation. Ultimately, he decides to effect certain compromises; he embraces both

life and Bo while retaining his basic beliefs in mysticism. Shot in 16 mm, this pretentious film is available in that format at an overlong 96 minutes or in blown-up 35 mm at an even more exhausting 110 minutes.
