A killer in latex gloves (as opposed to the usual black leather) stalks sexy Milanese girls in this engaging giallo. Model Jennifer (Edwige Fenech) has fled an abusive marriage to group-sex cultist Adam (Gianni Pulone), and moved in with another model, Marilyn (Paola Quattrini). The two are sharing a small apartment when a photographer introduces them to architect Andrea (George Hilton), who offers them a great deal on a larger place in a handsome building he owns. The catch: Two girls have been murdered there in recent weeks, a call girl who was stabbed to death in the elevator and raunchy cabaret performer Mizar Harrington (Carla Brait), who was drowned in her bathtub. Marilyn and Jennifer would be living in Mizar's apartment. The lure of space overcomes their trepidation, and they move in. Their neighbors include a nosy old woman (Carla Mancini) and a retired college professor (Georges Rigaud) who lives with his lesbian daughter, Sheena (Annabella Incontrera), and plays the violin at odd hours. Jennifer immediately begins having nightmares and awakes one night to see a masked man in her bedroom. Marilyn, a brassy practical joker, laughs off her roommate's fears. Meanwhile, Jennifer is being stalked by the possessive Adam, who only increases his harassment (which includes leaving crushed and battered irises where Jennifer is sure to find them) when she begins dating Andrea. The high-strung Jennifer begins harboring suspicions about her new lover, whom she catches in a couple on inconsequential lies; in her nervous state, even his phobia about blood seems suspect. But could he really be a vicious murderer? Better known as a director of Spaghetti Westerns, including several SARTANA pictures, Giuliano Carmineo made a rare foray into giallo country with this kinky and stylish thriller. Its highlights include Mizar's club act, in which she lures a lecherous man on stage for a little erotic wrestling and then kicks the hell out of him, sexadelic flashbacks to Jennifer's marriage and the groovy score by Bruno Nicolai, who composed the soundtracks for dozens of Italian exploitation pictures of the 1960s and '70s.
