Traveling in an enormous spaceship, its crew of 50 seeks a safe haven. They find a ghost spaceship, peopled with skeletons still garbed in fancy uniforms, which has drifted aimlessly for a hundred years. Armed with nuclear devices, the drifting ship proves dangerous to its discoverers;

two are killed in an accidental blast. The explorers must put the ship on automatic pilot to navigate past a dark star whose radiation induces sleep. They are helped by a magnetic beam radiating from a mysterious green planet. Believing the latter to be the home they have sought, they approach the

planet and see the Statue of Liberty. A well-made, intelligent film which is enjoyable despite the dubbed voices, the recutting, and the ending which was added for US consumption.
