observing clandestine trysts between a real estate agent (Yang Kuei-mei) and her handsome, worthless boyfriend (Chen Chao-jung). Director Tsai Ming-liang's attack recalls Antonioni more than Ang Lee, but there are enough comic touches here to lighten a ponderous subtext about urban alienation.
