No history lesson, this film depicts the famed bandido patriot as a peasant playboy who robs and romances widely until his conversion to the cause of the Mexican revolution. Saloon singer Dean is the object of Hoyos' attentions, as well as those of gringo gunrunner Keith. The latter is a

peso-hungry rascal until, like Hoyos, he too is evangelized to the peasant cause through witnessing their suffering at the hands and whips of the greedy landowners. Hoyos, as Villa, finally sends Keith and Dean back over the border when he joins the forces of Francisco Madero (played by Wright) in

an attack on the Mexican capital. A good action yarn, this was well photographed in Mexico.
