Lame plane-disaster movie that was originally intended as a television series pilot but later expanded to feature length and released in theaters. Egan stars as the brave pilot of a jumbo jet that is blown off course and forced to crash-land in the dense jungles of South America. All the

passengers survive save one, a lawman escorting dangerous killer Lamas to the executioner (Lamas killed him in the excitement). Although the plane was carrying over a hundred passengers, only a handful are seen on-screen (the standard set of stereotypical disaster-film characters). Baker is a

famous singer, Guardino a has-been comedian, Adams a disturbed schoolteacher, and Graves a novelist searching for his sister who is married to a missionary stationed in the area. It is Graves's quest that serves as the basis for the rest of the action since the plane has crashed not too far from

where he was to begin his search. Graves soon discovers that his sister is dead and her husband, Ryder, has gone completely insane and set himself up as the ruler of a local tribe of natives. The goofy zealot is about to offer up Graves and some passengers as human sacrifices when they are rescued

by a rival, friendlier tribe who takes them back to the wreckage in time to be saved by navy helicopters.
