Tunnelvision Reviews

An ugly and highly unfunny "satire" of TV in the wasted vein of films like THE GROOVE TUBE. One can only wonder why hungry comedy talents such as Chase, Newman, Franken and Davis, Hesseman, and Proctor were willing to appear in such tripe as this. Most of the interest lies in watching some fine television performers appear in this early effort. The set pieces include such great yuks as a sit-com about the Manson Family and a game show in which farting wins a prize. There are also plenty of obscenities so that you'll know how daring and clever this is. This complete waste of time was shot on videotape and later transferred to film; it looks it, too. Israel went on to direct another distasteful comedy with a similar idea, AMERICATHON.
