Trouble in Store Reviews

When clerk Wisdom begins working at a department store, he causes nothing but trouble for boss Desmonde. Soon the bumbling newcomer stumbles onto a plot by some employees who are in cahoots with gangsters. He stops the robbers from carrying out their plans and ends up the hero of the day. This is an amiable comedy, and Wisdom shows some real clowning ability in the first of his film farces. The plot is simplistic--a story line right out of any Mack Sennett silent short--with slapstick to match, but that's all Wisdom needs to create some truly enjoyable moments. This is directed with efficiency and features a strong supporting cast.
