Just when you think you've seen it all, along comes TRACK OF THE MOONBEAST. Paul Carson (Chase Cordell), a friendly New Mexican mineralogist, gets hit in the head by a piece of a meteor and is transformed into a giant lizard, the embodiment of some goofy Indian lore about the Lizard God.

Although this premise is ripe with comedic opportunities, the production is hampered by classically inept filmmaking, and the story unfolds so slowly one begins to think the film is running in reverse. The acting is even worse. Still, horror fanatics might find some interest in Rick Baker's lizard

makeup.
