Roman and Cochran star in this cliche-ridden tale as a pair of fugitive lovers who pack their bags after Roman shoots detective Sanders. Cochran, just released from prison after serving 18 years for killing his father, wrongly believes he did the shooting after Roman tries to pull one over

on him. They are pursued by the police and finally caught, only to hear that Sanders has cleared them by admitting the killing was in self-defense. Warner Bros. doctored the ridiculous finale after the press preview. The original ending had the pair brought in after someone informed on them in

order to receive a $1,000 reward. The district attorney failed to make a case against them, and then they were cleared by Sanders' confession. Either way the ending seems contrived, as does most of the beginning and the middle.
