With some courage but little imagination, this independently produced feature examines black-on-black racism through its story of a love affair between a black man (Clifton Davis) and a white woman (Lois Chiles). Their black friends, it develops, are at least as hostile to the

relationship as white society. Unforunately, these overdetermined characters, burdened with banal dialogue, never come alive. Moreover, the woman comes off as so subservient that her lover looks almost repulsively macho by contrast. Despite the taboo topic, TOGETHER FOR DAYS is more tedious than

daring.
