O'Brien plays a noble and heroic rancher who fights to stop a group of land grabbers from ruining valuable timberland. The property-hungry badmen claim they intend to build a railroad; O'Brien knows better. Naive New York newspaper reporter Reynolds is duped by the villains into launching

a print campaign extolling the virtues of the project, but in the end O'Brien manages to turn her head, and she strikes out against the land despoilers, falling in love with the rancher in the process. While all of O'Brien's earlier westerns for RKO had been moneymakers, this one failed to return

a profit.
