A fine low-budget western starring Roland and Craig as brothers who are separated after the villainous Bickford kills their father and then kidnaps Craig to raise as his own son. Roland sets out on a lengthy search for Bickford, and years later he encounters the killer trying to run

helpless farmer Blue and his daughter, Hunt, off their land. The wandering cowboy comes to the aid of the farmers, romances Hunt, and eventually visits his revenge on Bickford. Good cast, intelligent script, and solid direction. Composer Morros based his fine score on George Antheil's brilliant

music for Cecil B. DeMille's THE PLAINSMAN, released by Paramount a year previously. The studio was undergoing major trauma at the time of production; its longtime president, Adolph Zukor, lost his battle with other bigwigs and got kicked upstairs to a position of industry impotence as chairman of

the board.
