The Virginia Judge Reviews

Routine fare about a kindly southern judge with a stepson who can't keep his head above water. Cummings is the young lad who shoots a man in a jealous pique, while Kelly sits behind the desk of the law conceiving a way to set the youngster on the right track. Former vaudevillian Kelly does a decent job in portraying the judge, though his performance is little more than a caricature. The direction helps move the picture along with a few deft touches of comedy at the expense of Stepin Fetchit.
